This is from one of my very first shoots with a model and I was so excited.
Taken in the summer of 2005 I was just learning how to use reflectors and external flash.
Back in those days, I would usually meet up with a model before shooting just to check out each other’s vibe and to make sure everyone was on the same page as far as expectations.
There was a modeling site that started off very useful but since then has given way to other social media platforms to connect.
I was so grateful to Kelly for allowing me to work with her because even though we were both starting out I really had no portfolio to speak off regarding any work with models. She definitely helped me get started. After working with her, more models started to give me a chance as well.
Even though the photos are for sure the work of a newbie and a little embarrassing to show, I am very happy with them as an example of how far I’ve gone since.
